Hi! My name is

Sarah Schuller

I'm a Front End Engineer that likes to solve puzzles and make things for the web.

About Me

I am a Front End Engineer with a background in sales and experience with graphic design. I have always had a passion for working creatively and chose to make the leap into technology as it has been a lifelong interest of mine.

In 2022 I finished a web development bootcamp through Career Foundry and have been working on several personal projects and collaborations ever since. I recently worked as an Engineering Intern for Wide Eye Creative where I helped build custom components for WordPress sites and have been learning more about CSS, Javascript, and PHP development.

I am currently in the process of completing a degree in Computer Science and am looking for new opportunities to grow as a developer. I am excited to continue learning and growing in my career and am always looking for new ways to challenge myself.

In my spare time, I enjoy pursuing other creative interests in visual and fiber arts, video games, and listening to audio books. I've recently enjoyed The Stormlight Archives, Mistborn and countless works from Stephen King. You can also catch me playing games like Stardew Valley, Minecraft, The Sims, and Fortnite.

Projects

  • Evil Genius Brewery

    Evil Genius Brewery

I collaborated with Justin Witkowski to create a WordPress site for the Evil Genius Brewery in Philadelphia, PA. I created the HTML scaffolding and worked on the SCSS/CSS styling of the homepage, taproom page and footer based upon design mockups. I also worked on the components used for items in the beer lists pages. This project provided experience working with Wordpress and PHP and was my first effort working on a team for a real world client.

  • Fictional University

    Fictional University

A Wordpress site built to help myself better understand PHP and how to work with Wordpress as a developer. Users can view blogs, events, archives, programs of study and see which professors are associated with each program.

  • Make A Plan

    Make A Plan

A custom tabbed form journey that helps users make a plan for how to vote in the upcoming election. The form was progressively enhanced with Javascript to provide a seemless user experience and was built with accessibility in mind. I worked with the Principal Engineer to build this form and was responsible for the HTML, SCSS, and Javascript functionality. This form also utilizes PHP to send the form data to a database.
